Gran Canaria University (ULPGC)
The university arranges Spanish courses throughout the year, with starting dates every second week (for beginners). Non-beginners can start every Monday. The Spanish courses are given in modules of 2 weeks, with 20 class hours a week, and with any full level lasting a total of 6 weeks. When one level is completed, the student is able to seamlessly go up to the next level if desired. It is possible to choose a programme of study lasting between 4 weeks and 12 months.

The "Las Palmas de Gran Canaria" University or ULPGC was founded in 1989 and is the main university for the island, with over 20,000 students attending courses there. The university is divided into several campuses, 4 on the island of Gran Canaria and a 5th smaller campus on the island of Lanzarote.
The Spanish courses for foreigners at Gran Canaria University are taught at the Tafira Campus situated 10km from the centre of the city of Las Palmas which is of particular interest thanks to its vegetation and geographical configuration.
Students of all levels are welcome to ULPGC as there are no academic requirements or minimum levels needed for their Spanish courses. In addition, all their Spanish programmes are taught by highly qualified members of the University Staff. They use a communicative methodology that shows grammatical content in use, teaching students to contextualize things that they learn in real situations so that the student acquires knowledge that can readily be put into practice.
Students from all over the world attend the Spanish courses imparted by this university, making it an interesting multicultural ambient. As many other courses are also taught at this campus (the most densely populated) there are plenty of opportunities to mix with the local Spanish students.
As Spanish Language Students, you also have access to the sports and other facilities offered by the university. The university also organises a range of optional free-time, leisure and cultural activities.
